The mermaid is the female figure on the left called Suvannamaccha. The figure on the right is Hanuman, the heroic white monkey general who serves Phra Ram. In this famous scene, Hanuman and his army try to build a stone causeway over the ocean to reach Lanka. Thosakan orders his daughter and her sea minions to steal the stones to halt construction.
